The Three Clans Many moons ago, cats of all shapes and sizes ran rampant within twoleg territories, surviving on their own with no purpose or rules. They fought with one another, killed indiscriminately, and lived in chaos all to fulfill their own selfish desires. Some formed groups while others remained loners, but with no direction or purpose, no cat was safe. The twolegs view the cats as nothing more than destructive nuisances so they took action, setting out traps and taking the cats away. The cats stuck closer in groups for better protection but even then uncertainty plagued them. One night, three of the colony cats spoke about receiving a strange dream in which a molly made of stars spoke to them with promises of salvation and prosperity. ‘Follow the waves until the water runs clear to usher in the era of peace.’ With no other hope, the trio gathered those willing and followed the cat’s strange words, following the shore of the ocean until they met a river. From here, the trio split themselves into three groups according to the territory best suited for them and became the three clans that we know today! |

 *＊✿❀ The Covert & Swift ❀✿＊* Meadowclan is the more kindred of the three clans. They are very emotional and spiritual with their close relationship with those who have passed. These cats are the most religious and have odd traditions when it comes to their ancestors. They uphold the Warrior Code as law, teaching their warriors from an early age what it means to be a descendant of Starclan. Their territory consists of rolling hills with diverse plants and animals that support Meadowclan. Most of the warriors here are trained in the arts of agility and finesse in order to catch the fast prey and elude predators. Cats with a lighter patterned pelt will find themselves having an easier time hiding within tall grasses while darker pelts may struggle to blend in.

Traditions & Quirks
- Apprentices will often gather a collection of different shells from the beaches, exchanging their findings and decorating the den with them. Even some young warriors still have a shell or two.
- It is common for a cat to give their beloved a bluebell flower as a sign of their affections. Many will weave the flowers into their nests to show the returned feelings.
- Meadowclan will often hold competitions of either speed or strength to keep the clan strong. These competitions come in the form of races or sparring matches.

 ●・○ ҉ The Kind & Fierce ҉ ○・● Groveclan is the wild child of the clans. They break the most from tradition and are more lenient when it comes to the rules. Cats outside of the clan are more likely to join Groveclan than the other two due to their open minds and peaceful outlook on life. They prefer peace and will always try to negotiate before violence. Groveclan cats are crafty and very clever, often finding eccentric ways to fill their needs. The lands surrounding them are filled with trees and forests of all kinds. A lot of the water drains here from the mountains, resulting in boggy conditions. Cats here are more acclimated to the land with strong legs for climbing trees and swimming. Raised with loose ideals, warriors have a large variety of attitudes, morals, and skill types.

Traditions & Quirks
- The Flatlands are often where those who have passed are laid to rest. It is common for warriors to become silent when passing through to honor their ancestors.
- Legend has it that if you look into the Cloud Pools at night, one might be able to see something strange. Some see cats from Starclan while others say they see their future selves. Some even say that you can see your soulmate within the reflection.
- Groveclan often has lavish celebrations for the coming seasons. Warriors will hunt enough prey for everyone and will hold a large party at the beach.

Fallclan is a respected group, taking great pride in their heritage and ancestors. They are distrusting of outsiders and tend to keep to themselves. This group is also very secretive, staying out of other clan’s business while maintaining their own image. Fallclan takes care of their own, viewing the whole clan as family and treating them as such. They are less outwardly religious and every cat's beliefs vary from warrior to warrior. Their name comes from the grand falls that protect their camp but that's not all their lands have. Fallclan's territory is rocky with steep cliffs, a pine forest, and even a natural hot spring. Cats here tend to be darker in color but have various markings and body types that aid them in climbing the steep cliffs of their territory.

Traditions & Quirks
- In Leafbare, cats enjoy running on the frozen lake where they can slip and slide. A very popular place for younger cats, it is also a spot where cats enjoy giving gifts of affection to one another.
- It is common to bring herbs and flowers to scent the water at the hot springs. Elders in particular enjoy taking trips out to the springs to help their aching joins and ailments.
- Many Fallclan dens have deep scratches that mark the passing of a moon. Some dens have as many as a hundred marks while others only hold a few. The medicine cat’s den holds the most.
